Seems to have put got the clubhouse toxicity not entirely correct.

And the fact that the Sox intend to trade Youkilis for the best offer...is that really news?

Not really. He's saying the Sox have multiple offers at this point and are just waiting to pull the trigger on one. It's a good update, lets you know how far along the trade talks are.
