There was just no way for Hatcher to get Ortiz out there...I have no idea what the hell Oz was thinking.

The ball is carrying with the heat as well.I am sure.

Every one of those HRs would have been HRs in hell too...none of them were cheap.

I wonder if the ball carries more when its humid like that.

Fourth inning and the score is 12-4! I suspect the M's will get some additional runs as well cause by rights Felix should go out there throwing strikes and challenging them to hit the ball. You would expect them to hit a few anyway.

But to this point it would be hard to call this one of Felix' better outings. He has been out-dualing a guy with a pop gun.

Would have liked to see V turn Punto loose on that 3-0 count just to try to get him going. Sox are way ahead and poor little Nicky is the only guy without a hit.

I was hoping we would see another shot of Oz in the dugout. Keep waiting for him to finally just lose it.

Oh, I completely forgot to say this about an hour ago.

Gave over.

People around here don't like us to call games over this early, so I guess the right way to phrase it is, "the outcome of this game is no longer in doubt"

Actually, that's not quite true. I think the rule is one run per inning if the Sox are losing, and half a run per inning if the Sox are winning. There are certainly other factors to the formula, but I think that is relatively close.

Some of it involves who is pitching for the other guys too. You get behind some of those Nats pitchers and a couple of runs in the sixth inning makes it very tough.
