Just checked the WC standings: the Yankees lead, and we would be 7 behind them after tonite if nothing changes. They would be the first WC. For the second WC we are now behind four clubs, and after tonite, if we lose, we will be six behind the Orioles-and three behind the Angels, who have the pitching to win either the ALW or the 2nd WC. Ten behind the second WC and the season is, IMO, over as well.

Sox had men on 1st and 2nd, nobody out in 1st inning. Gonzo K, Ortiz fly out, Salty fly out. Next inning, Sweeney got a 1 out knock but was promptly picked off. Sox haven't had a knock since.

 

Marlins: Reyes leadoff triple. Scores on sac fly. Couple knocks later, Marlins push across 2 more with 2 outs in the 1st, leading to a 3-0 lead. 2nd inning, Marlins leadoff single, P bunts him over to 2nd. Reyes gets him to 3rd. Next guy gets a 2 out knock to score him. 4-0 Marlins.

 

Nothing since.

Don't worry I'll put them in check tomorrow. I'll be their manager from the stands yelling at the dugout. If we play like this tomorrow I'm going i be pretty damn pissed. It's frustrating because we know we're better than this. This team is built on offense and they need to get it together. I get pretty intense at baseball games so I hope they don't play like this.
