when the injured return, things will turn around. if a team can do what happened to us in july, august, and september of last year, anything is possible. now if they can rally here for a win and continue to finish 64-37, they will have 93 wins on the season and make the playoffs. stranger things have happened and there is no ignoring the injuries, regardless of the current team loathing that i also feel, but hesitate to puke out insults

Highly unlikely that we win 93 games. Thats .634 baseball, the equivalent of winning 103 games over a season. Do you honestly think we are that good?

I have some housing units I would like to sell you if you believe that.

V caught by the camera daydreaming about that ESPN job.

I honestly believe he's a better manager then he was a broadcaster.

The Marlin's continue to roll....sigh.......

These guys are so hard to watch lately....I don't even know what to post anymore. We give up another run...have given up runs in two out of two innings and start the inning with our pitcher batting because we did not clear him last inning.

Yankees 3, Atlanta 0.

Lose this game and we will be 7 games out in the lost column to both the Rays and Yankees.

Because there isn't a lot you can say about this game:

Red Sox lefthanded reliever Rich Hill has a strained flexor muscle, an injury that will not require surgery but will cause him at miss at least a month, according to manager Bobby Valentine.

Dr. James Andrew examined Hill today. The Sox feared that Hill had injured a ligament, so a muscle strain is good news.

In other news:

• Daniel Bard will pitch in relief for Pawtucket tonight. The idea is for him to try and get an adrenalin rush. Bard seems to think that will help. He's only going to go an inning.

• Aaron Cook threw two innings in extended spring training on Saturday and on Wednesday will pitch for Lowell in a scrimmage game.

Its June. If we are 7 games out in August I would agree, but its too early. I have never given up on the whole season, not yet. Get 10 games out and I will, even in June. A lot can still happen. I will say this: its time NOW to start fixing this team. We cannot wait until the trade deadline. By then we will be too far out of competition for the postseason if nothing is done.
