I know his career OPS is closer to .900 than it is to .751 popsie.

There's a lot of baseball left.

Sure. And if he starts beating the snot out of the baseball my opinion of his contribution this season will change too. So far, that hasn't happened.

Brennan' date=' you're one of the more mentally challenged baseball fans I've come across in a while. And that is saying something considering that I live in Yankees territory.[/quote']

Wow, that means a lot coming from the most foul mouthed, arrogant piece of crap I have ever had the misfortune of witnessing on any internet site.

I've come to find out that a lot of people here like me. You, not so much. I'm the foul mouthed one when you went so far as to refer to Va as a pig.

His OPS is pretty likely to rebound' date=' and you'll never convince guys like that of any sabermetrics stuff.[/quote']

See my last post. You are wrong. I just deal with things the way they are now, not the way they might be in September.

Leyland will burn his arm off before the playoffs like he has in the past few year wich I'm fine with

He is burning him up tonight. What is the use of having the best pitcher in baseball out there with close to 100 pitches when he is pitching like some low level #5 starter? His breaking ball actually sucks tonight and while he has had velo on the FB his location has for the most part sucked.

I hope the Sox get another RBI hit here cause that is what Leyland deserves

Guys and Gals: we are beating Verlander tonite. The O's and Rays are losing. No need to get on each others' cases, not tonite. At least not so far.

Sorry you don't get enough attention in real life dude, talk to your parents or a therapist if you like.

I personally find your internet tough guy persona very boring. Let's move on. Talk to your "friends".

I'm sorry you hate your taste buds. Bud/Miller/Heinekein/etc are s*** beer. Might as well drink piss if that's the beer you like.

No, its .751. Or it was. Thats not good enough, not for me. Happy you are satisfied with it.

Point is that the money would have been better spent on pitching. Theo had a hard on for AGon for years and just had to have him.

Am I the only one here that thinks that Crawford's 142 million would have come in handy on the mouind?

To many people here just like to RAH RAH RAH their way through life. We are watching our beloved team struggle to finally break .500 for the first time this season on May 29th.

How far back do we have to go til we see when the Sox last had a winning record?

Sorry if we don't all dig on the Kool-Aid.

What pitcher should we have gone after? Really, A-Gon was a no-brainer. Dude was putting up .900 OPS and trending upwards at Petco Park for half of his games, and then in the other AL West parks for half of the rest of the games.

It's not kool-aid, it's facts. You're just being unreasonable.

Facts make their brains hurt. Easier to live in the past or imagine what the future could be like. I hear that a lot of blueberry beer can make it seem like this team hasn't choked on it since last summer.

I can deal with the AGon deal Emmz, but we paid more than enough. The Crawford deal was a HUGE waste of money.

I see Oswalt found a home though, that's nice.

So you're going to ignore an entire career's worth of All-star caliber play after 2 months and call the man a bust and a bad pick up even though all of the signs point towards him getting it together?

IMO its the real difference between an optimist and a realist Brennan. I try to deal with things the way they are now, or at least recently.
