Hard to imagine Bard holding it together past 6...maybe at the outside....MAYBE

I do think the way the Tigers are swinging....it is a case of Saltyitus. Salty swings for the cheap seats every time up and that is exactly what he should be doing. I posted early yesterday that I thought the Tigers had to many guys that were swinging for the cheap seats all the time. Not bad having A Salty but a team of Salty's??????

And

There is Prince showing us the result if you get the ball in a bad spot to guys swinging for the cheap seats all the time.

Like every LHH and switch hitter in the bronx.

Agons season last year was completely useless

wish somebody would of told me that last year

No one said his last year was useless. In fact it was useful.

It doesn't mean dick this year though does it? Will last year's performance help us get to the playoffs this year?

He is at .751. Thats not .900; its not even .850. Better to deal with what you KNOW' date=' not what you wish were true.[/quote']

I know his career OPS is closer to .900 than it is to .751 popsie.

There's a lot of baseball left.

that wasn't a bad outing from Bard. I can understand taking him out at 80 pitches. DOn't like it though.

poopsie also said agon was not worth 20 Mil a year when in fact Agon was worth 30 MILLION last year according to fangraphs .

You're missing the point of using last year. It's not a reference as if it means anything. We get it guys, he's struggling (btw, struggling for A-Gon is above league average).

His career OPS, and last year's OPS, are used as a reference to show that he's probably going to turn it around at some point.

Get off the dude's sack already.

His OPS is pretty likely to rebound, and you'll never convince guys like that of any sabermetrics stuff.

Point is that the money would have been better spent on pitching. Theo had a hard on for AGon for years and just had to have him.

Am I the only one here that thinks that Crawford's 142 million would have come in handy on the mouind?

To many people here just like to RAH RAH RAH their way through life. We are watching our beloved team struggle to finally break .500 for the first time this season on May 29th.

How far back do we have to go til we see when the Sox last had a winning record?

Sorry if we don't all dig on the Kool-Aid.

Can't drink that stuff. The blue berries look like rat turds floating in the beer.

I wouldn't know. Since I don't live in NYC, I don't often see rat turds.

Trading for Adrian and subsequently signing him to his deal was one of the best moves theo made as our gm. The guy is still young and is one of the best players in the game. He's a world class hitter and he is as as excellent a defense first baseman as you're ever going to find.

Wow talk about confidence in a guy...Verlander is throwing some real s*** up there and Leyland still has him out there. That was a s*** pitch to Aviles that Mike just missed and here is Pods on again.

Brennan, you're one of the more mentally challenged baseball fans I've come across in a while. And that is saying something considering that I live in Yankees territory.

Makes you wonder what ever happened to regular old beer. It's like Latte's and Coolata's, pretty soon you will be drinking with your buddies and someone will offer you a light half calorie pale ale with fruit loops and fairy farts in it.

Leyland will burn his arm off before the playoffs like he has in the past few year wich I'm fine with
