I really hope Pedroia's injury is not too serious. I cannot watch Punto play f***ing 2B every night. Karl Ravech (sp?) is saying that he heard Pedroia is likely to miss a month via twitter. Nothing is official. They are still waiting on the results.

If they are admitting to one month, its safe to assume two months is more like it. My guess is surgery and 2-3 months, just based on how they have handled this kind of thing in the past.

That is true, but Pedroia is tough. It is just a "jammed" thumb. That being said, that probably means it will not require surgery. The problem is Pedroia still played for three weeks with it being jammed. He is the type of player that will still play until someone makes him sit out. If he is out for a while and all of this could have prevented if he sat out a few games three weeks ago, then I am going to be pissed.

I do not know who he is hearing this from. I am assuming that he has some sort of inside connections, but then again nothing is official until they actually get the results back from the MRI. I hope it is not a month.

He is my favorite player. I love watching games that he plays in. It will suck without him in the lineup.

They have confirmed that he underwent and MRI and that they are waiting on the results. They have not confirmed that he is going to miss a month. That is just what Karl Ravech is saying. I do not know how credible his sources are. Nothing is official by any means. I just hope it is not a month.
