The next step is to get McDonald out of Boston on the next plane. He has been utterly worthless this season as he was last season, and except for a game winning hit in his very first game for us in 2010, he has been more a liability than an asset. He can't it, save for against a few mediocre lefthanders, he is a lousy fielder and a poorer base runner who is a potential pick off victim every time he gets on base.
