I honestly think we can win the World Series this year.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves.. We still have to get all these bullpen arms to come together

I honestly think we can win the World Series this year.

Those are some horses that we will have lined up in the bullpen if it all works out.

Bailey/Bard is a sick 8/9, almost as good as Bard/Pap. I've heard Chris Mellen of SoxProspects (who is actually extremely unbiased and coolheaded about the prospects) say that Wilson has a mid-90's FB and a devastating slider, perfect 7th inning guy for the Sox.

He says he'll be like Bard was in 2009. Please give me that. You tack that on with Rich Hill who destroys lefties, Morales, Tazawa and Aceves as multi inning guys.

This team has the horses for an elite bullpen. Just may take a little bit to get there.

I think they will and with our lineup and rotation......Why not us?

A good throw would have had him.

You have to send him home with an 8 run lead like that...would have been the right baseball play even if they got him at home

Could Gonzo have an issue? He's reminding me of Crawford circa 2011.

He's hitting over .300 and driving in runs. I doubt there's anything wrong with him.

No arguement from me. Valentine has taught these guys to try for the extra base much more often than they did with Tito.

At least he is batting for average, isn't he?

That's all good except for the Morales part. I don't trust that guy.

Yep' date=' Atchison is great in low stress situations[/quote']

Seriously, he looks like Doc in these situations

He does have a tendency to disappear in high intensity situations...like when we really need a hit or an RBI

Team doesn't look so bad now Pumps.

(Didn't hear it from me)

We are an 8-10 team that looks good because we will have won four in a row after this game, if we can hold on to the lead. Nothing like winning to make a team look good. I would like to see us beat good teams before I call this team a good team.

Doubront had a good game tonite, eh? For a #4 SP I would take that outing any day.

We kicked Tampa's ass didn't we? Chicago isn't exactly horrible, either.

Adrian Gonzalez through 18 Games in 2011: .286 Average, .804 OPS

Adrian Gonzalez through 18 Games in 2012: .300 Average, .807 OPS

He's just a slow starter. He's actually outperforming 2011.

He's hitting .300, but I haven't seen him hit too many balls that hard. He's swinging at a lot of first pitches and hitting a lot of soft ground balls right at middle infielders.. I don't know, something just seems off about him this year

Good point SFF. I forgot about last years start

So you don't throw him in high leverage situations. When you have Non-Closer-Aceves, Bailey, Bard, and Hill, you can avoid Morales in high leverage situations.

Now this is an interesting development. V hides Tazawa for a few games and then won't take him out for anything! Son of a gun....he did find a way to make him long relief, set up man and closer.

Chicago is rebuilding.

What about the Tigers, the Yankees, and the Rangers? We are going to have to beat those guys too-especially if we play them at home.

They ain't going anywhere (Chicago), but I do not care. These series help you to regroup and take confidence.
