You want Pedroia, Youk, Agon and Ortiz coming up in the same inning. This stupid lineup splits them. It's not an effective way to maximize run production. It just is not.

The best guys go at the top. You don't put some bush leaguer in the top, because he has been hot for a week. The best guys go at the top. You want them batting in the same inning and you want them to get the most ABs. That's how you maximize run production.
