that pitch according to mlb.com was right down the middle

Not talkin' about any pitch that particular at bat...just in general wish Agons were a bit more selective...especially wish he was less prone to swing at first pitches in big spots.

Pitchers are going to try to get up in the count on him but he is to dangerous a hitter to expect a pitcher to just grove one to him. Agons swings at a lot of first pitches that are not a mistake or grooved. Just because it is a strike does not make it a good pitch to hit.

yep agree hope he figures out that Nova is no Roy Halladay ...but our team makes even the worst pitchers like Romero feel like Doc on some days ... hate that

We'll get to him. I literally have no doubt that we'll win this game.

You wasted all your mojo for us to score all those runs against the rays, now we're gonna lose in the most important day of the regular season.

Did you not watch that video? It had a quite poignant message. That message was :

GO f*** YOURSELF

I hate today's lineup. I have always been opposed to putting lesser hitters like Sweeney or Aviles at the top of lineups to extend lineups. The best lineups have the best hitters bunched together at the top of the lineup so that they bat in the same inning at the beginning of the game and you maximize the number of ABs they get. Pedroia, Youk, AGon and Ortiz are the 4 elite hitters that we have in the lineup. They should be bunched at the top. Instead, we got Pedoia and AGon up in the first, but not Ortiz and Youk. In the 2nd inning, the pitcher only needs to get the first guy out, then he can pitch around the second guy and go after the bottom of the order.

Haters gonna hate :harhar:

Still gonna be laughing when we come back? Or when everyone points out that you have no Yankee fan friends and have to troll a Sox board?

Buchholz kind of looks like Hughes. Looks like he has stuff and velocity but just getting the ball up in the zone too much.

...and then he broke his back. It was a lost season.

Well he was pitching well until then. He stays healthy and I'm guessing a mid 3 is what to expect.
