"I don't know what Bobby's trying to do, but that's not the way we do things here," said Pedroia. "Maybe that stuff works in Japan."

I missed what context this was in, or what it was in reference to...

What's the deal here?

Go back about four pages in the Valentine's Big Mouth thread and pick up the first posts this morning and just update yourself from there. Not all that big a deal as it turns out.

Today is awesome. I get to watch a game that isn't at night where I don't have to go on break to watch only 30 minutes or so of it or try to watch it while I am working.

Bard gets through Pena and Longoria. Not sure where these Rays would be without those two guys given the rest of their lineup and their bullpen.

Aviles has hit .444 with a 1.667 OPS in the past 2 games from the leadoff slot. Definitely leave him there until he cools down.

Who else would you prefer? Please do not say Sweeney. We need someone faster than Sweeney at leadoff. Speed wise' date=' Pedroia, D-Mac, and Aviles are really the only three guys that I would prefer to hit there. Pedroia will more than likely stay in the 2 hole. D-Mac is not hittin so well rigt now. Aviles has close to a .300 BA and an over .300 OBP, so I think he is the best of option we have right now. I like Sweeney in the middle of the order.[/quote']

I wouldn't put Sweeny lead off, but I'll gladly have him hit 2nd and move Pedroia to the lead off. I'd have Aviles hitting 6th, he showed some power lately. However I'll be happy to be proved wrong tonight.

I could probably live with that. That could be a good idea. Sweeney makes good contact.

Seriously? The 11:05 Patriots day game is a longstanding tradition. This isn't something new that MLB has invented to screw fans. It's awesome actually, one of the best days to be in Boston.

Patriot's Day game is a great Fenway tradition.

However it is more of an "enjoy the sunny day" kind of a game. Even the the crowd is not awake at this point.
