Not to mention his 1 ER was a result of a completely misplayed ball by Sweeney out in RF. He's been very good out of the pen.

He gave up a run? I missed that..had to leave for a while.

Ugh girlfriend is switching from the game to Big Bang Theory. Time to put radio feed on :(

WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU? Take that remote and show her who is boss. She can have the TV all day if she wants after the game.

Can't throw the E that often....he will eventually get tagged doing that....and No it does not make the heat harder to hit because in no way and nowhere does the plane of that pitch match the plane of the heater....plus his arm angle is totally different which the hitters in this league will eventually see and attack.

Throws hitters timing off completely, so hitters have to have it in the back of their mind. It's not the plane, its the velocity, especially when he has another curveball. It's an effective pitch.

I would think its hard to time that pitch, especially after seeing 93

Did I hear that right.....we are opening two ballparks on the road before we ever have a home game....f***ing networks and the GD league.

Not to mention that if Padilla can throw it for a strike on a consistent basis, it's a great 1st pitch because hitters aren't going to be swinging at it in a first pitch count.

Well she watched yesterday's game and the Blackhawks game. But Im thinking about putting a sleeping pill in her drink.

Padilla should have started the entire game lol.

Pedroia swinging at s*** there.

Two strikes. Had to get the bat off his shoulder. The pitch wasn't far off the plate. I hate to see guys taking call third strikes in situations like that. Drew did it all the time.

It is an effective pitch if used sparingly and trust me...it has nothing to do with HIS fastball. He has genuine gas although he showed little of it in the spring and I don't have any idea how many innings he is good for.

It is an Off-off speed pitch and has more to do with his normal curve. Let somebody time it though and you are lookin' at Perez vs Bill Lee in the WS with similar results.
