Excellent way to run an organization to the ground.

I dont think the Sox will come back from this for another 80 years. These players have mentally, physically checked out since a month ago.

RIP.

Your pessimism is wearing thin Reck. There's plenty of reason to bitch and moan, but you have a way of doing it that actually makes the situation worse.

Lackey is still being run out there every fourth day because he is the highest paid pitcher on the team! Yet another of Theo's "I am going to over pay this guy because he is that last piece to my championship puzzle" syndrome. The worse thing about this Lackey mess is that Theo has done nothing to replace him hoping we would let him off the hook if Lackey just made a good start somewhere and I have finally concluded that Tito has continued to run him out there because he does not want to incur the wrath of Theo and Henry. What a screwed up mess.

See that SO pitch to AGons? That is why Crawford will go 0 for a lifetime against this guy.

Heads will roll, which would be the first?

A) Tito

B) Lackey

C) Wake

D) Theo

E) All above at the same time

Then I am doing my job.

To be fair' date=' 3-0 is not insurmountable. However, unless something amazing happens, it is for this team.[/quote']

3-0 isn't much but this team this series offensively has died. Unless Ellsbury can bat for everyone it'll be hard. The biggest wtf is A-Gon. I know his shoulder is an issue but damn does he look UGLY at the plate. I hope Lackey calms down but not really getting my hopes up.

The last time I felt like this was game 4 of the 2004 ALCS. I was absolutely deflated and believed that nobody on that team could pull the team out of it.

Dave Roberts provided the spark that team needed to pull their s*** together.

Can Lackey run the bases at all?

(As the next generation of Yankees uber-star doubles)

NICE PLAY AGON!

This is the most pathetic team I've ever seen.. This really is unbelievable

Man, I thought with like a 9 game lead with a month left to play we'd be safe. If I didn't I would have never got so cocky about getting in the playoffs. We should have been in the Yankees position right now winning the AL East and just chillin for the season. I'm still in shock and trying to tell myself somehow this is all a bad dream.

The question is, are there pitchers warming up in the bullpen?

In a word....No. But I finally now see Tito's grand plan. The Yanks are going to run into outs on the base paths allowing the Sox to stay in the game.

GET HIM OUT OF THE GAME! FOR GODS SAKE WHAT DOES IT TAKE?

Retraction, they finally have somebody up after that last hit.

Curt Young: "John, your fat, out of shape, and unable to pitch at a competitive level on the biggest stage"

John Lackey: "Yeah, so?"

Curt Young: "Can you give us a few more innings?"

John Lackey: "Definitely"

Yeah, it really is hard to believe.. If this season finishes like I think it will, this would be by far the worst season I've ever experienced as a fan of any team.. I really can't believe this is happening.

Your job is to piss off fellow posters?

Use self control.

I am pissed off but you have to realize what's in front of your face.

Maybe its easier for me because I saw this coming a long ways away. At this point I dont care about Red Sox. Their season is over.

Actually, at this point I'm not even mad because this could have been prevented. Bad management led to this debacle.

They focused too much on Wakefield's 200th win. It all started with this guy's greed to get his 200 wins.

So I'm not mad because I know if it was up to the players Sox would be in a different place right now.

But of course once the infection starts to spread its over no matter how good the players are.

K. Millar was another one, he always kept everyone up! Dont count us out, dont count us out. That's what this team is missing!!!!

Out of all teams the f***ing Yankees....why? At least let the Orioles beat us up. That's just a recipe for disaster.

Honestly, the fact that it is the Yankees doesn't mean s*** in my eyes. The Sox would be an embarassment no matter who they were losing to right now. The fact that it is the Yankees is really, really insignificant in my eyes.

Yeah, but factually, it isn't over and you're still here, in a gamethread, talking s***. If the season is over for you and/or you don't care, then perhaps you are in the wrong thread.

They are not mathmatically eliminated, and there are 3 games left. Unless you have some contract with a higher power you didn't "know" anything. You guessed.

Not to mention the Orioles already beat them up. lol

I had issues when they were having a hard time beating the Guardians and royals in July. Great teams beat the teams they are supposed to beat. leaving 15 men on base in a game will get you on a Florida beach in October.

But of course once the infection starts to spread its over no matter how good the players are.
