Red Sox manager Terry Francona said the "best-case scenario" is that Clay Buchholz (back) makes an appearance on Sunday or Monday.

I expect nothing then a gem of a game from Beckett.

I think other teams are taking advantage of teh Sox players psychic right now.

Other teams see they are mentally devastated and so they go in for the kill.

Beckett should pitch furious. f*** you mentality should be in full effect tonight.

If Sox lose this game they are toast.

Nope, but this doesn't help either:

Boston Red Sox Pitcher Served Papers in Child Support Case Before Game

Published September 21, 2011 | New York Post

Hours before taking the mound for the reeling Red Sox against the Orioles Tuesday night at Fenway Park, pitcher Erik Bedard was served with papers in a child support case, The Post has learned.

Bedard was served with papers from Massachusetts Probate and Family Court at Fenway Park at 3 p.m. Tuesday. The papers were served by lifelong Yankees fan Tom Cabral, who was acting on behalf of Bedard’s ex-girlfriend Courtney Roberts.

“The Red Sox were very cooperative,” Cabral told The Post. “They asked me if I could serve these tomorrow because he was starting tonight. My position was, my client wants it served today, and that’s what I have to do.”

Cabral didn’t bother to hide the fact he is a Yankees fan. In fact, he proudly wore a Yankees shirt while he served Bedard the papers.

“When I walked in I was like, I’m a Yankees fan, but I’m not trying to (give you a hard time),” Cabral said. “I told him that and said, sorry, I’ve got to do this. But he said it was no problem. I handed him the copies of all the documents and he signed them.

“(The Red Sox) legal department was joking with me about it … they were saying, ‘That’s why you’re so adamant about doing it today … you’re a Yankees fan.’"

How is Lackey even in consideration to start any more games for us....Give Aceves the start since he usually ends up pitching more inning than lackey anyway....he is the worst pitcher in baseball this year, there is no reason to give him the ball again...ever

Tito doesn't like having the fans or the media, or even the players, tell him what to do.

He usually ignores sensible things that are suggested. He doesn't like to be shown up.

You think he's going to bow to Papi, and start Aceves? Hell, no.

You're delusional if you think that Francona won't start Aceves just because Papi mentioned it. That's incredibly stupid. Francona has been stating for weeks prior to Papi's sound byte that Aceves would be a great starter but he is so valuable to the bullpen.

It's not like Ortiz just randomly opened Francona's eyes. If he starts Aceves, it's because Francona has weighed his options and thinks that, at this point in the season, we gotta have a SP more than that 7th inning guy. And Buch could have a huge impact on that decision.

But dear Lord. To imply that Francona will intentionally not do something just because he feels like it wasn't his idea?? That's so dumb.

It'll be a deathblow to the Rays if both the Sox and Yanks win tonight

Its starting to rain here so this game its looking like it wont start on time.

I hope this game goes deep into the night so both teams are tired as hell for tomorrow and for the Sox this coming weekend. :D

Gonzalez needs to be a leader on this team. Not paying attention to the game is one of the worst thing you can do when covering a base.

Just glad Beckett got the strikeout there!

Wish I could say I was surprised about that failed pickoff attempt.. guess we didn't even get to bat before the first error tonight
