More talented right now' date=' yes. Furcal is injury prone and over the hill. Speed was his big separator, now his speed is gone[/quote']Okay, I have no interest in arguing this point, because our utility IF position is not what was wrong with this team.

Not every f***ing acquisition has to be a 30+ year old Major League veteran 5 Time All Star' date=' when will you realize it? He was picked up as a bench player and has done a good enough job. Friggin accept it already.[/quote']Screw off.

Well there we have it. Can't refute my point, so I should just "screw off"

No, I didn't like your nasty tone. We were discussing baseball. It was completely out of line for you tell me to "friggin accept" something. That's why I told you to screw off. I have no interest with interacting with people who act like that. So, screw off.

Of course I'm gonna get nasty when you post the same stupid comment after every game about a player who has actually done something over the last month unlike everyone else on the team. Yeah, we really should of went in hard for the guy with a few more years experience but a .100 point less OPS over the same time span. That would of been a tremendous help.

This isn't just sucking really bad. This is epic proportion. This is historic. This is the biggest collapse in the history of the game.

But don't worry, RSFFL, I won't hold you up to the deal. Hell, after this season, I may have to take a few years off from the Sox anyway.

It's not that bad. There was some team not too long ago that was up 3-0 in a playoff series and then lost the next 4 games to the eventual world series champs. Now that's bad...

The fact that it's an opinion doesn't excuse it from being stupid, and it doesn't excuse me from calling it out. Don't like it, put me on your ignore list like you've done with half the site.

I had not the opportunity to watch the game, but seems like the same "get pound early" film rolled again in Fenway. Our pitching is a blank check.

These days it doesn't matter if we face the O's or the Astros, any team can put this team in predicament, that's the sad side of the story. Our pitching depth is a f***ing joke. They tax their pathetic performance to the offense. They always go out there saying, oh boy! Here we go again with 2+ Rs deficit. This situation has devastated mentally our offense. Seems like nothing is left, we'll see.

Papi just told reporters that Aceves should be starting.

I said Tons of times that we should give the spot to Aceves a loooong time ago and some around here went to my throat and gave me bad names for that

It's not that they don't want him to start, he just doesn't perform the same. He's a valuable piece to the bullpen no doubt, he's a f***ing beast. Compare his starting numbers to his bullpen numbers. Plus if they're going to put Aceves for someone make sure it's someone like Weiland, Miller, or Wakefield. Bedard hasn't done that bad despite what his record and ERA shows.

I know man, and I'm agree with you but at least try something different. Hell, our pitching (Lackey, Weiland, Miller, Wake) are an automatic L. What else can u lose? Another L? We should bring the young kids of our farm and try with them. My point is, try something different, like putting Ace out there or something but at least die trying.

Agree with this. You have nothing to lose running Aceves out there to start instead of those you listed. Infact, I'd put Aceves out there for 3-4 innings cause he usually implodes after that, and bring in Weiland or Miller for another 2 or 3, because they seem to usually handle that just fine. Miller was decent out of the bullpen for a while. Weiland is usually good for 2 innings then BOOM he's f***ing up left and right.

Papi said Aceves should be starting? Papi reads the chatgroups.

That should wake Tito up. Tito has a thick head. He keeps banging it against the wall.

Remember Gagne and Timlin? Now its Wake-Lackey-Miller/Weiland ad nauseam.:harhar:

I think the Red Sox hitters are frustrated by the pitching.

Shouldn't that make them want to tear the cover off the ball? Someone like Pedroia needs to get everyone in the dugout and tell everyone to start playing like a number 1 offense. Whatever our pitcher gives up always score a run more. Once Pedroia gets hot the whole team because this irresistible force. The Orioles have seen it plenty of times this season they know what's up.

I think that getting behind early in every single game gets very disheartening for the hitters. With most of the pitchers, the hitters know that if they come back with some runs the pitchers will immediately give it back plus more. That puts a lot of pressure on the offense. It completely takes any small ball option off the table, so Tito has no worries.

Yes they are. You bet.

I've been saying that our pathetic rotation is taxing their s***** beds to our offense; and what worries me the most is that mentally they are devastated at this point.

Especially this month they often go out there pressured early in the games, the mindset is other when you always start over and over and over again with 2+ Rs deficit as we have been playing. No offense can bear that, not even the best as ours.

Exactly. Why not give Aceves a chance? At this point you might as well just say "f*** it," and give it a try. I'm pretty sure he could go 3-4 innings before giving up a run or two, which is something I can't say about Wake and Weiland....

Exactly.

Mixing them with short innings is another good idea. You can not expect 6+ IP from any of them at this point, otherwise you will get pound like have been happening.

Hell, We should be the managers, can't Tito see this plain and simple? Is it really hard to see? Really?

Hey Tito, wake up for God's sake!
