Voted for the lose in ALDS option, but I could also see them losing in the ALCS. I'm not panicking, it's just really hard to win a World Series, especially when Lackey and Bedard would be making multiple starts. The Beckett and Youkilis injuries aren't comforting either.

The injuries are too much, realistically they will be making exit in the ALDS, but I'm an optimist, so I voted for Wild Card and WS. Who knows really, the playoffs seems to be real weird all the time. The best team from the regular season doesn't even win half the time, and it's pretty common to see the crappiest team scrap for a while, or even win the WS.

Maybe Crawford returns to form in the playoffs or something, heck maybe even Drew shows up, you never know. There's nothing rational about it, the playoffs really seems pretty random.

We're missing quite a few options here' date=' including the most likely scenarios. They lose in the ALCS or WS. Nowhere before then.[/quote']It's my poll and my options.:D Don't vote if your choice isn't there.

What kind of fan would I be if I said we weren't going to win it all? Sure they're not looking like too pretty of a WS pick right now but they were saying the same thing about the 2006 Cardinals, right?

The 2006 cardinals were on the brink of collapse. They couldn't have come any closer to collapse and still survive. The 2011 Red Sox need to find a way to survive.

And the playoffs are a weird thing, man. I distinctly remember Jeff Weaver stepping up during the playoffs for them. Red Sox fans have always clung to the "Believe" term and now is exactly the time for us to be screaming it loud and proud.

I still say take a shot in the dark and play A-Gon in right if it's in Philly, he and Papi in the same lineup far outweigh any defense lapses to be had.

That and he has Ells backing him up out there if something's hit in the gap. Plus, David is a better fielder than people give him credit for. We have two number one's in our rotation to match up with Roy and Cliff, we'll just have to hope that whoever we throw out there as the 3 man deliver. But hey, what WS team hasn't been a little bit lucky before?

If they make it into the playoffs' date=' they will get bounced by Texas in the first round. Book it.[/quote']The Angels are only 1 game in back of the Rangers in the loss column, 1 1/2 games overall.

God.. I hope we can shake this off.. and show what we really have. I don't thiink that any fan of the sox believes that we won't do what it takes to make the playoffs as winner of the American East.

This is spot on. Basically sums up the MLB playoffs perfectly.
