that makes sense. you do realize that when we win, the same person keeps making the gamethreads, right?

We need a rules thread badly.

Ok. Yes you should make one. :harhar:

Anyways Good luck redsox!

YOTN a while back said something about why it wouldn't be a good idea. I don't remember what he said but I agree rules need to be made.

I think he said that people wouldn't read it, which is fair enough, they probably wouldn't, but at least if this happened we could say "Go read the rules thread"

Or you could just explain it, being that it takes less time, if anything, to explain this rule than to go get the link to the rules thread.

Maybe for one time. But when it happens multiple times a week, it would be faster to just have a rules thread.

There are rules here?

I know about the gamethread one and that we shouldn't become barbarians with no sense of common decency, but otherwise it seems pretty free for all. 6 years in and I haven't needed a rules thread. I agree with Emmz.

@SFF

Not really, what other rules are there for game threads?

You just explain the one rule, and someone understands. If no one's reading it, and they probably won't, then there's not really a point when it takes less time to explain the single rule than to go to the rules thread, and either copypaste the URL or the rule. The only reason it would be a good idea is so you could say that there's no excuse for not knowing the rule or whatever, but that hardly makes sense because it doesn't really seem like something worth punishing, it's more like a mistake.

I think when people sign up for Talk Sox, they should be required to scroll through a terms of service and click a button saying that they agree. Then we could all be made into human centipads.

It's frustrating when you go through your rotation and you lose both games that your aces start. I'm not looking forward to watching Wakefield pitch again.

Well, when you sign "standard" contracts/terms like a debit card, cable company, software license or any sort of agreement/program, they usually comes with 5 to 10 pages with extremely smalls letters and a lot legal terms that a common person doesn't even understand... I don't know you guys, but in my case I always sign those without read them, in the end, if a contract is leonine, at least here in Mexico, the Mexican laws always will protect you anyway, but my point is that those terms are never read or only by very few people IMO, and in the end the owners of this site have the right to warn or ban anyone they want if they are pleased to do it, so...IMO no terms are needed, hehehe:lol:

BTW.. there's a rules section here, fair enough for me...perhaps they might include the new-GT "terms" there, hehehe ... But there's not big deal at all, trust me!, so... just get fun guys! :D

 When I went to get my debit card they gave me like 10 pages worth of things to read. Good thing he gave me a brief overview of each page cause I was not going to read all of that LOL.

Some guy on NESN just asked Cafardo whether or not Wake was a HOFer if he hit 200 Wins. Said "200 is the mark of a HOF career to me" Cafardo shut it down and then said Wakes career would still live in "red sox infamy"

....

what a mess that network is.
