Anyone think Crawford should be moved down a spot? Maybe Reddick can hit 6th?

As long as you arent suggesting he hits 1-5......I am more than willing to listen!!!

Anybody here wanna go play some SS tomorrow? I can damn well bet you will do better than Shitaro!

I played some SS in college, can't hit a breaking ball though

Wait, CC shouldn't bat #2?

/sigh, I wish CC would return to his TB ways.

At least CC has potential but Scuatro is trash. How did he even get into the major leagues? what college did he come from and who draft him? I'd rather have Joe Swanson playing SS than Scoot.

Crawford and Scutaro made it possible!

Scutaro made a diving play that saved a run and got us to extra innings in the first place. Let's not get too crazy here.

I'll take losing in the 9th over extra innings every damn day of the week.

I doubt Scutaro had time to think, "we'd rather lose in 9 innings and we have no chance of scoring a run in the next few innings if I make this play" :D

Yup... but he still sucks.....hehehe

I'm really pissed off!

“I made sure I double-checked with (third base coach Tim Bogar),” Reddick said. “I made sure I double-checked with him again so I didn’t look like a fool out there.”[/Quote]

I went to sleep early this time around, but this is what I read this morning. Surprise surprise.

Not surprised at the outcome. Tito finally had to go to a pitcher KC could hit. When are they going to drop this guy "R.Williams"? It brings back the memory of Tito going to Timlin in that extra inning playoff game against TB--when Timlin was a dead horse. And losing.

This type of ballgame is not what the Red Sox do best. They are a bunch of $$ talents that still don't play that well as a team. They don't do fundamentals very well (suicide squeeze? yikes), because Tito is not a fundamentals guy. He is a big innings guy who pretty much lets the players hit away.

It's not that these guys don't have good batting eyes and get walks. It's just that there is no pressure on them to force a run when runs are scarce. That could haunt them in the playoffs.

But hey, they are winning a ton of games. You have to lose once in a while. Except maybe if you're the Yankees.

There's going to be games no matter how good the lineup is where you can't buy a run. It happens. If you're good, it doesn't happen often.

Doesn't make it fun to watch though.

What a frustrating game. We had several chances to put that game away, but at times we looked like a little league team with our stupid play. Was Tito serious with that suicide squeeze. He never bunts and he never hits and runs, but last night he expects execution of a suicide squeeze. Good work!

As bad a night as Crawford had, the punch out on the check swing with first and third with one out was a bull s*** call. He had a terrible AB, but he didn't swing at that. That would have made the count 2-2, and maybe he puts the ball in play and wins the game. The home plate ump's strike zone was ridiculously big for Davies. He seemed to be giving him several inches on both sides of the plate.

I doubt Crawford would put the ball in play if the check swing appeal didn't go the Royals way. He had just a about the shittiest game a player could had.

And Scutaro is f***ing beyond awful as well. Mr Pop up. QUIT PULLING THE DAMN BALL.

On the bright side, Lester look good. The KC lineup is a very good one. They lead the league in BA last year and are 6th this year.

Reddick looks like the real deal.

With Crawford's unorthodox style he frequently looks bad, even when he is going well. When he was with the Rays, we'd get 2 strikes on him and then he would rip a pitch. He has done the same thing this season.

I noticed this as well. Originally, I thought it was in an effort to expedite the game. Boy was I wrong.

Crawford has been terrible this season even through his good stretches. The guy worries me in a big spot come the post-season.Terrible loss considering the number of chances they had to win the game.Gotta execute better!!!
