Certainly darling,

WAR is available in two places: FanGraphs (fWAR) and Baseball-Reference (rWAR). Both statistics use the same framework, but are calculated slightly differently and therefore sometimes show different results.

1. Pitcher Value: fWAR relies totally on FIP, making it a defense-independent metric, while rWAR adds in defensive runs saved as well.

2. Calculating Defense: Each system uses a different defensive metric. fWAR uses UZR, while rWAR uses TotalZone. UZR is more accurate but is only available from 2002 onward, while TotalZone values can be calculated for any player in baseball history.

3. Baserunning: rWAR includes this, while fWAR doesn’t.

:lol::lol::lol:

The only words in here that are yours are "1." "2." and "3.". And you just wasted a lot of time and energy considering none of this addresses why fangraphs WAR is better in small sample sizes.

Haha did you find this online somewhere?

Of course.

2. Calculating Defense: Each system uses a different defensive metric. fWAR uses UZR, while rWAR uses TotalZone (developed by Sean Smith). UZR is more accurate but is only available from 2002 onward, while TotalZone values can be calculated for any player in baseball history.

3. Baserunning: rWAR includes this, while fWAR doesn’t.

Just copy and paste like the first few sentences. He's basically finding someone else's material and trying to play it off like it's his L O L. Dude must fail every research paper. That's an auto fail.

Edit: AtWork beat me to it.

Nah, when doing you a research you simply reword the material you find, its not that hard...

So how does this equate to the crap that you lifted directly from someone at a football website? It's obvious you just now learned how to optimize your Google searching, good job.

It's a shame that your previous post shows that everything you said before was just farting out of your mouth (keyboard) because this is actually right.

I have mine Verlander' date=' CC, Weaver. There are 63 games left, so there will be someone to break away. [b']My money is on CC[/b] since he typically closes the regular season well.

Apparently for you it is.

LOL, if there wasn't so much you'd have to understand before this quote to get it, I would put this in my sig.

I'm watching the Yankees game, didn't feel like putting in all that time and effort while my attention is focused else where.

You say that like it takes a year to copy and paste. If we never called you out on it you were going to take the credit. You can't try and play it off now. Now bend over and enjoy the beating and lets us have our fun making fun of your foolishness. :)

Lol I thought it was pretty great when he said that BR's WAR was better for career values, like Beckett's had a better career than CC or something.

Guys! I just came up with this really great idea. It involves using these statistics called sabermetrics in order to find aspects of the game that are undervalues and build a team of inexpensive and undervalues players in order to compete in a small market. I'm thinking of calling it Funnyball.

Totally my idea... promise ;)

Verlander went from hot to hotter. CC fell off and Weaver has been great but nowhere near Verlander. Verlander will be top 5 in MVP and is a lock barring an astronomical drop in September for the CY

Verlander is on pace for 25 wins. The last time anyone had 25+ wins was twenty years ago. Wins are overrated to an extent, but they definitely mean something when you have the ERA, WHIP, K, etc to back it up.
