Yeah this team has the ability to slug hard, but on nights where that obviously isn't happening maybe it would be a good idea to move runners over, make sacrifices, etc. "They aren't built fot that" is a lame excuse. A good manager/team will use all strategies it can to win.

The offense, or lack of it, was the reason for that loss. I would take that start by ANY of our SP any day.

Still............we cannot afford to get six or seven games behind the Yankmees. We will not be able to make that up now-no matter what the bonnetheads think.

Not in one of my or anyone else in the post did they say "Lackey is good now because he pitched a good game tonight". You're missing the point my friend. If Lackey was to throw 3 perfect games in a row what do you say to that? "Three games don't make a pitcher he still sucks". No one is denying his performance this season we're just saying that he has pitched a good game and deserves his credit.
