It was a question. How do I know how old that person is? and what does that have to do with anything. On the game: I barely saw any of it. I was at a restaurant with my family and caught some of it out of the corner of my eye. Missed the Lackey RBI, but did see the Ibanez HR. For once Lackey was not to blame. His best start since April. Unfortunately, the offense has gone ice cold.

So, what... Red Sox can't survive away games vs. NL.... what does that mean if we make it to the WS?

 

I have to say, Lackey was IMPRESSIVE. I mean, 2ER and an RBI double. That's pretty sweet. Sadly, our offense just couldn't get it done. A-Gon is amazing, adjusting his stroke vs Worley and getting that single vs. the same pitch down low.

Good outing by lackey our offense is just struggling right now. win today and sweep the Astros and all is good. Losing steaks will happen as will our 9 game winning streaks. After seeing our struggles in NL parks I wonder how big of an impact the AL winning the all star game will have on our chances of winning the WS when we make it there.

i guess we have to hope the AL wins the world series!!! last night was a good game.... fun to see agon out in RF... could have robbed a triple if he added about 60 more inches to his vertical!!

Don't forget, though, that this is hardly us at full strength right now. Buch and Crawford are out and Cameron and McDonald are in the lineup a lot more recently. Come October, we'll have those 2 guys back and hopefully our outfield will be a little more improved with Reddick getting the full time job or us making a deal for Beltran. I wouldn't put much thought into this current streak. The Red Sox team that blows people out for 9 straight games is the real one, I'm not worried.
