I should just not read the baseball threads, most of it's unintelligent BS fair-weather crybabies who think a skid is equal to the end of the world. Relax, life is just fine, it's not the apocalypse, it's a skid, and there's plenty of baseball left. Are you for real? When people work for a living, they should know the meaning of hard work and deserving of a pay check. Not just showing up for work and get a free ride. If you were paying out of your own pocket for Lackeys or any other player for that matter, I'm sure you would have a different attitude. You know what, I do pay money out of my pocket to watch these f***ing games (I subscribe to MLB Extra Innings), So I would like to see something for my money.

Do you pay to see these games? I do. I work hard for my money, and I would like to see a better performance. I do not like to give my money away for free. Maybe you like to give to a charity or to some bum on the street, that if they wanted to get a job, but don't, because people are giving them money for free, and it's enough to give them what they need in life.

Like I said I miss the old posters. Example1, TheKilo, SOTK, YanksHater, Spudboy and a few more I'm forgetting. When I joined last year gamethreads weren't nearly as active but I loved them. Even with all the injuries people kept their cool and it was a fun time. I like some of the newer posters as well SFFS, BornToRun etc. but a lot of these new people are just too much.

At my job, if my family is sick, I can take a week or two off of sick time or bereavement. When I have s*** going on in my life, my work is affected. John Lackey does not get these luxuries. It isn't like he isn't showing up, he's working his ass off, and seeing a good outing from him really is a good thing for this team. So atleast wait till his next bad start to complain about him.

Lackey doesn't try and pitch bad. He doesn't go out there every 5 days and say "f*** this team let me just give the opposing team runs". We know he hasn't earned his paycheck it happens. Certainly not the only player in Sox history to not earn his paycheck, it happens.

The offense sucks. For all the criticism leveled at Crawford on these boards, we miss him in the lineup. Having him in the 5th (in NL games) or 6th slots is big deal. We have two huge OF holes without him and a hole at SS. The whole lineup sucks right now.
