I want it in record that I was against the signing of Cameron from day 1. I just wish I hadn't been quite this right. What a waste of money and a roster spot. And of course, Tito being Tito he's gonna play Cameron against lefties, where we're already weak enough because we're so lefthanded.

We need to get rid of this guy. Find someone else to give those at bats to. There's got to be some AAA schlub who'd kill for the chance. There's got to be SOMETHING we can do to get this guy off the roster.

Unfortunately, Mcdonald is more likely to be the guy who gets the boot when Crawford comes back. Cameron will waste a roster space for atleast another month.

Terry Francona surely feels committed/guilty or just doesn't want to show disrespect in order to bench his bulk of s***.

That f***ing rule/mindset/predisposition to go Cameron against Lefties doesn't apply anymore, he can't hit anyway; he has a .161 BA, zero discipline AB, he's been distracted on defense, he's clogging prospects; in few words, he's hurting this team in so many ways and very deep directly and indirectly that even a child could notice, period. !!!! Go Reddick for God's sake!, at least you can develop a great prospect!!!

TF: what else is needed to happen in order to bench this player? is this so hard to see?, really?.

Well put IORTIZ. The Mike Cameron experiment should be over by now. He had his chance. Even McDonald is a superior option, given the playing time, than Cameron. As is Lowrie. He has become an automatic out. Time for him to go

Cameron and McDonald are two horrible bench players. They bring nothing to the table. Batting .108 McDonald behind Ortiz is preposterous. Get Beltran now. Don't wait!

I wonder what Francona has smoked lately with McDonald obsession. Right now Scoot has to hit behind Ortiz. He has swung the bat well.

Cameron is such a pain in the rear end. Give him his walking paper.

One of the guys on a different forum, a former baseball scout, thought that Lowrie should start taking some reps in the outfield. He is athletic enough to do it. That would get Cameron out of the lineup and allow Scutaro, who has been playing well, to take over at SS regularly. It amounts to who you would rather have in the lineup: Scutaro or Cameron.

I like that idea. I figure Lowrie could pull it off

Or he could pull something. [/obligatory Lowrie is made of glass post]

On a serious note, I thought it was unfair to label him as fragile after the missed time due to being hit by a pitch and fracturing his hand (tough luck, but that happens) and subsequent viral infection. That said, this latest injury warrants discussion about his durability.

He's Tim Naehring. On the rare moments when he's actually in the lineup, he's a darn good player. Just take him on that basis.

This is a very interesting idea. For those who aren't familiar with this situation, let me clarify some key points

1) Lowrie hits extremely well against LHP, and our outfield generally is weak versus LHP.

2) He has the speed and arm to be an average corner outfielder.

3) Lowrie believes it is in his best interest to be a SS. However, his defense there kind of sucks.
