Hi,

 

I've been a long term Liverpool FC fan. I'm sure you are aware of John Henry etc. purchasing the team. Ever since I have been interested in the Red Sox. I was even surprised to see that both Liverpool and the Red Sox shared the same epic end of series (or finals as we would say in soccer/football). I really enjoyed watching the 3 - 0 to 4 - 3 series win over the hated rivals the Yankees even though I was quite a few years late seeing it!

 

Someday I hope the visit the city as I am aware of the Irish connections in the city, which is similar to Liverpool.

 

I hope you can teach me a lot about baseball in general and more about the Red Sox.

Thanks for the welcome guys. I'm finding it interesting to learn about all the statistics that are used in baseball. It's a lot more statistic heavy than soccer/football (which term should I use on this forum in the future?) so are there any tips on what stats I should concentrate on when I'm learning about baseball?
