The 9 game road trip against NL teams is going to suck. AGon or Ortiz has to sit in each of those games, unless AGon can play the OF.

I'm a little late to the party but I'd like to comment on the JD Drew situation. I don't really like him more than I did Trot Nixon, but platooning him and Mike Cameron doesn't seem to be hurting the team too much. Players go through cycles, especially in baseball. He sucks now, but he has collected timely hits recently and in the past few years. Pedroia, Salty, Varitek, Scutaro and Crawford have all hit for atrocious averages at some point this season and I'm glad the Sox still have them.

No, it's going to be awesome. I'm going to the game Saturday night on 7/2 in Houston, pub crawling the bars around Minute Maid Park after the game, spending the night in Houston, and going to the game on Sunday as well.

 

But, yeah, not looking forward to having sit one of the two best hitters.
