I'm not a Drew hater, just because I don't believe in him this year doesn't mean i hate him. He was my favorite player for the past 4 years I have his Jersey. With the way he has been hitting it is understandable to not be confident he will come through. Mike Cameron is by far the worst red Sox player ever, he's useless like I said before I would much rather have Drew play then ever see Cameron.

I know I am negative but we really didn't deserve to win that game and Francona id manage this game awful. leaving our 3 and 5 hitters as Cameron and Sutton? really? when he pinch ran for A-God that was idiotic. on a double in the gap A-God scores and a double of the wall I doubt Sutton scores. Sutton wasn't going to steal so it was a waste. Another thing, why pinch hit for Reddick with Cameron, he absolutely sucks ass.

All in All a lucky win, but a win is a win. Oh yeah Salty for MVP!!! I will admit I didn't think we would win this game. I also forgot Aceves was availiable out of the pen, i thought we would have to ujse Wheeler or Atchison which would have resulted in a loss.

The 9th inning was also a big part Pedroia's fault.

Drew isn't a bad player. It's just that he isn't a full season player. And he was "sold" by that shark Boras as a full-season player. His salary is +8 on the insanity scale which averages about +5 in MLB.

Uhhh, if any team believes Drew is a full-season player, I'll pay Drew's entire salary. You don't know how Boras sold Drew as, and even if you hate the Red Sox FO, it's pretty silly to actually believe that them, or anyone besides possibly the Mets would buy into that pitch.

Regardless of his games plaid average, he's still earned his salary to this point, you can dispute it any way you want, but sabermetrics prove me correct every time.

I'm not talking about this season, I'm talking about his entire contract.

To be fair, Drew averaged 118 games per season, not counting his rookie season, prior to coming to the Sox. Since he's been on the Sox, he's averaged 133 games per season.

The FO is smart enough to have realistic expectations. I'm sure they're pretty happy with the 137-140 games they've gotten from Drew in 3 of the 4 years he's been here.

His durability has been better than expected throughout the 4 years, despite the vagina and Nancy Drew jokes. Several of the games he sat because of lefty pitchers. That being said, I have a tough time comparing the productivity of a guy that plays 130 games (looking at OPS) to a guy that plays 155+ games. It's not an apples to apples comparison. The everyday guy is not sitting against the tougher pitchers. In my mind that is why the compiler statistics like RBI's and Runs and Total Bases still have relevance.
