He's a teenager and you are docking him for it? That's crazy. He's a top talent with 5 tools that he's already showing at a young age.

.298/.363/.571. 40G 17BB 9HR 32EBH 10SB. And he plays a very solid CF with a rifle arm. The kid is gonna be a great one. Now, due to his proximity, I'd have him in the 9-10 range, but he is definitely top 10 at this point.

GCL is watered down lets see him do it at higher levels. Bitchette is younger, has pedigree and doing better, thats the only reason I have him in my top 20. Plus he just really screwed up his ankle badly, lets see how he comes back before we go with a top 10...

Tyler Austin went off today. Charleston is going to be very fun to watch next year. Williams, Austin, Culver, Gumbs and Nunez playing in a full season league. Even Gamel is a great hitter, just doesn't have the tools, imo to reach the majors.

Can't wait to see Mark Montgomery next year. Should start in Tampa and end with Scranton. In 2013 he could be ease his way into a MR role out of ST and be a nice 7th inning guy by the end of the 2013. He had another IP with 3Ks

Dante Bichette led the GCL Yanks to the title today with his second post season homer. His final season numbers for the regular season were a stellar .342/.446/.505, and he was even hotter in the playoffs, hitting .429 with a homer and 2 doubles in the 3 game series

Brett Marshall has really come on strong of late for the T-Yanks. His last 10 starts, he's thrown 50.2IP 48H 16ER 10BB 48K. They have him on an innings limit now, so hence why he's going 5IP per start. He's up at 140IP on the season, so he will likely get one more start then get shut down. But over the last 10 starts, he's shown a re-emergence of his K's, which is a result of his improved slider and his improved pitch command. This kid is emerging into a top 10 prospect for us and might crack the BA top 100 this yr.

I'll never understand the love affair Yankee fans have with Cody Johnson. I just don't see it myself.
Posted
The love affair is the power. Thing is, he was rushed a little by Atlanta and we pushed him in AA. He's 23 and in High A, so he's a yr or so old for the league, but he's having success. He must cut down on the K's, but the raw power is intriguing. I'd have him just outside the top 50

ManBan got shitstomped by the Pawsox today. His accuracy once again got the best of him. He's still struggling to adjust to his newfound velocity. Maybe they should have him vary his fastball speeds. He was untouchable at 92 when he hit the corners all the time. Now, he is walking the park throwing 96. Regardless, he's young and has some work to do, but today was a step back for the kid.

Abraham Almonte is a guy who is going to be climbing up the Yankee prospect ladder. He wont get a lot of national attention because his numbers this yr are pedestrian, but a look inside his story will show that there is something there. He's a switch hitter with 4 tools now and power on the way. He just turned 22 and missed the entire 2010 season with a labrum injury in his throwing shoulder. He's got blazing speed, elite range and still possesses a cannon from CF. He started off the yr abysmally (.218 with a sub .600OPS pre-ASB.), but has been on a tear since. His overall line sits at .268/.333/.382 and his line since the ASB is an astounding .314/.370/.486. He also stole his 30th base tonight. After missing a season, it's okay to struggle as long as you bounce back. I think he is a solid top 10 talent, and based on the way he's bounced back over his last 280ABs, he might crack the top 10 on the Yankee lists. Look for a big yr out of him in 2012

As an aside, the Yanks have a lot of depth at the CF position, even in the bigs. Right now, Granderson has that spot locked up, but I think the likelihood is that Gardy and Grandy swap spots in 2012. Gardner is the better defender and would excel in CF for us. But creeping at the lower levels is some serious depth at the position. We have Justin Maxwell at AAA, who was tearing it up before blowing out his shoulder. He's more of a 4th OFer anyway. In AA, we have fading star Melky Mesa, who has been good in the second half. He's a 5 star talent who seems to be finding his status well below his ceiling. But below that, we have 4 talents who have big league starting CF talent. Abraham Almonte and Slade Heathcott in Tampa, Mason Williams in the NYP and Jake Cave, who was just drafted and signed

Bogaerts. Close enough that some scouts would say Santana RT @LCBF Injury aside, Ravel Santana or Xander Bogaerts. How close ?

Yikes, Santana getting some serious love. Really blows he hurt his ankle, I'm hoping for a speedy recovery. I already know how much Jakcson likes him.

Well I thought Bichette was a bad pick too. I don't remember anyone saying it was a good pick haha.

Kind of surprised to see Gumbs down so low. I thought he'd be where Culver was and switch Culver to around 14th.

Sally league should be out today.

Gumbs is playing 2b but from the sounds of it, looks more like an OFer in the future. Culver has shown flashes on offense as well as a pretty good eye. And his defense grades out as plus and he should be a top notch defensive SS at the big league level. That is why the Yankees reached for him. His bat is a work in progress, his glove is smoothe

So, apparently Jose Ramirez found the drawer where they hide the roids. At instructs yesterday, he was topping out at 101mph and showcased a nasty slidepiece. Might be time to convert him to the pen
