We need to drop him down in the order until he stops K'ing and starts hitting with RISP. I'd rather see Lowrie 3 and Gonzo 4 or something to that effect. Youk's been having a ton of opportunities with RISP lately and he has been atrocious. I know he'll turn it around, but it seems like Francona has double standards by dropping Craw when he's struggling but standing firm with Youk, and Youk is hurting the team worse than Craw.

Yeah, I took some shots yesterday and most of the post were negative because I was doing it on purpose. There have been quite a few players who seemed to have gotten into a groove for the team for quite a few days/weeks and carried the team on their backs for a little while. Pedroia singlehandedly won us the Yankee series, Lowrie had a ton of big games, but is cooling off a bit now, A-gon is hitting well now.

 

The problem is the guys who decided to take 2011 off. Crawford, Buchholz, the catchers, the bench, and the bullpen.

They're a good team that is just slumping. Unfortunately the numbers with RISP will correct themselves, and all of a sudden the Red Sox will look great.

It's just so unbelievable that our entire team is slumping right now. It's a month into the season and we've still yet to see much power from Gonzo, anything from Crawford, anything from Youk, any power from Ortiz. I really can't believe the whole team is this down right now.

 

Seems like those games we won out west were more in spite of our offense, rather than because of our offense.
