No, at 3-2 you protect the strikezone. If it's close, you swing. That change was close. If you don't swing when it's close, you eliminate the potential to do something if the call doesn't go your way. If it's clearly out of the zone, and you get f***ed on the call, that's one thing, but you take the outcome out of the umpire's hand if it's close.
