@Jackso - A hit is a hit and getting the first one out of your system will relax him at the plate. Maybe he won't swing at everything now (talking about Salty, late response I know)

 

Anyway - I 100% agree with sending Drew there. If Choo makes a throw up the line at all or not right on target, Drew scores. Choo making a bad throw is much more likely than Scutaro getting a hit.

More importantly, Lowrie can use the at-bats. I really hate using him as a utility guy when he's at the point in his career where he needs at-bats. Scutaro is the career utility guy...

Agree, even taking away the hitting aspect. Every time the ball is hit to Scutaro I cringle kind of like when Rask tries to play the puck behind the net. You get the point.
