Nova was better than his peripherals suggested. Most of the hits given up were bloopers or dribblers. What I liked was his poise, his ability to keep the ball on the ground, and his ability to limit walks. He's never gonna be an ace, but his stuff and his style will keep him very valuable for this team

This is absolutely hilarious. Lets think about this slowly. Four of the first three batters reached base. Joe gave the Blue Jays two of them. Juan Rivera is terrible. Walking the bases loaded puts the pitcher in a very difficult position. In the last two games, I've seen Girardi make two of the worst tactical decisions I've ever seen (the other one being the Granderson bunt).

As a Sox fan, I loved the the Granderson bunt. He took the bat out of his two best hitters' hands there, giving up an out. Sure it worked out that time, but I hope to see much more of it.

CC actually threw incredibly well tonight. A couple dinkers in the 4th cost us a few runs. Good to see the offense feast on the Jays pen, but this team almost doesnt show up offensively until the 7th. They cannot continue to do this and survive. Hopefully this win kicks off a nice run of offense
