Damn' date=' Yankees are getting it. 6-0 in the bottom of the 2nd? This is the Nova I was expecting coming into the season. Already at 51 pitches.[/quote']

Thats what I was thinking. I thought they were gunna pull him after his first inning. But he's back. Go Royals.

He'll stay in. They need him to spare the relievers for a weekend series against us.

O'Sullivan has absolutely nothing right now.

I'm surprised they left him in for this inning. But if he gets this out it doesnt matter.

Regardless of the result, it was a bad move. Sometimes pitchers get lucky, and that's what just happened.

Did they have anyone warming up during that inning?

We played like dogshit, good thing I was working for most of it. Rough inning with 2 errors and a passed ball mixed in with an off day from Nova really sealed that one. It's funny how we played a solid game in game 1, give one away in game 2 and get blown out in game 3. This team needs to play better on all sides of the ball. The offense isnt clicking, the defense has been abysmal and the relief pitching needs to be a bit more clutch.

This Yankees pitcher tested positive for PEDs last year. He was unclean--you could even say unSANITary.

Sanit is a throwaway guy. I dont think they want to use up options on some of their better pitchers, so they brought him up.

Wow. I could almost copy and paste this into a Red Sox game thread and nobody would think twice.

You're never as bad as you look when you're playing poorly, and you're never as good as you look when you're playing well.

But while the Yankees certainly aren't this bad, when you look at their roster, the idea of them winning 90 games seems pretty far fetched. I never thought they would win the division this year, but I did expect them to take the WC. But then their number two starter went down, and they suffered some very steep regressions on offense. The pitching will get worse, and unless guys like A-Rod, Swisher, and Jeter rebound in big ways, making the playoffs doesn't seem all that likely.

Sometimes you're flush and sometimes you're bust, and when you're up, it's never as good as it seems, and when you're down, you never think you'll be up again, but life goes on.

Which is how I started my post. But I think we need to be realistic about this roster.

This has been an abortion of a game. They come out of the gate looking like they have some life, then some sloppy defense and a bad umpire call all of a sudden has us down and we've shown no life since. This team has no fight. 2 yrs ago, they were the cardiac kids, never giving up, always coming back. Now, it's almost like they dont show any life until the 8th or 9th but cannot get any big hits. It is really frustrating. It's kinda funny. 2 weeks ago, this team looked invigorated and ready for a long season. Then they suddenly looked old. I am hoping this is just a funk, but I am also concerned y228. This is incredibly, incredibly uninspiring ball

It has been three weeks of bad baseball. They haven't look good since the Baltimore series, despite winning 4/7 the next week. Which is why, despite scoring some runs, I harped on the idea that the offense looked really bad during that week.
