It's typical Yankee luck to face a team when it's big guns are DL'd. Hamilton is still out and now Nelson Cruz is out too.

Haha, they're still about 100 times better than the Twins lineup the Red Sox are facing this weekend.

This one is on colon and Boone.

It's really time for no more Boone.

But again, the offense just doesn't look all that great. Yeah, they scored some runs tonight, but most of the guys in this lineup just aren't putting together good ABs. It just seems like, over the last few years, that they go as A-Rod goes. They just haven't been the same, so far this year, since A-Rod cooled down.

The Yanks have Banuelos, who I do think will end up in our pen come September, but other than that, they are dry in the upper levels when it comes to LHP. Maybe Bleich if he ever takes the ball again, but really they are dry there. We tried with Marte, but his arm went kaput. We tried with Feliciano, he couldnt even make it through spring training. I have a feeling that will be a spot we target come the trade deadline

A-Rod is just horrendous right now. The offense, especially him, is going to need to pick it up ... because the pitching is going to hit a wall very soon.

CC with very little idea where his FB is going.

EDIT: This team is just a mess. I talked about this during the TOR series ... they were winning, but they weren't playing well. The only times they scored was when the opposing pitchers gave away base runners. And now, predictably, the pitching is regressing.

Long way to go, but I'm willing to admit I could have been wrong about Jeter. He has played really well lately, offensively and defensively.

A-Rod is just all out of whack. 2-0 FB right down the middle, and all he can do is roll it over to short. It ties the game, but his struggles continue.

I don't think he's bad enough to get benched, but I think it's clear that his best days are long gone. I still think the Yankees would be better suited by moving him down in the order, but I'm not sure if that will happen.

Do you (or any other Yankees fans) think he will move positions next year? LF?

Yeah, moving him down in the order is something that should happen despite this mini resurgence, but it won't. If anything, this only has bought him more time.

As for a position change, I don't expect that to ever happen.

Texas says thanks for the free base runner, Joe. No reason it shouldn't have been Joba to start the inning, with a bunch of righties coming up.
