1) Back to back to back against the Yankees 2007

2)Clay Buchholz no hitter in his second career start

There's more but that's just what I can think of off my head at the moment. I really started getting into baseball in 2007. Which happened to be the year we won it all.

That 2004 game where V-Tek fights A-Rod and Mueller hits the walkoff. I lost my s*** that day. From that day on I knew the Red Sox would win the world series that year.

Seriously that was an amazing game. I want to see it again.

That kind of relates to the 04 championship but whatever. I remember Johnny's slam as just being completely surreal. It was quite the holy s___ moment.

It was like omg we are actually gonna win this game.

The moment Foulke Caught the ball. Every time i hear the call of that play, i remember Friend who passed a day prior and she was a sox fan.

The greatest moment has to be winning the World Series in 04. And winning 8 in a row to do it.That destroyed the "curse of the Babe" nonsense. They hadn't won a Series since 1918, when the Babe was a Red Sox. That had to be it. They came close in 67 and 75. I won't mention that disaster against the Mets in the 80s.

I'll tell you a story about the 04 World Series. They had just beaten the Yankees 4 in a row to get to the Series against the Cardinals. Just before the first game, I'm in an airport and I run into two TV-type baseball writers, one of whom I knew from having met him before. I asked them who they liked in the Series. Both emphatically said the Cardinals in 5 or 6 games. I replied no way. The Red Sox have much better starting pitching. That will decide it. Don't believe everything those TV guys say. Trust your own judgement. In a short series, it's all about pitching.

Both of these.

+ Varitek/A-rod fight at Fenway.

The game last year where Darnell McDonald hit the game pinch hit 2 run homer and then had a walkoff in the next inning.

Jon Lester's no hitter

Daniel Nava hitting a grand slam on the first pitch he saw in the majors.

Manny robbing Miguel Cairo of a home run and Cairo not believing it actually happened.

Ill think of some more later.

The Top moments of games that I attended:

1. July 27, 1975 -- Double Header sweep of the Yankees 1-0 and 6-0. Fred Lynn saved game one with a late-inning diving, sliding catch of a Craig Nettles bases loaded drive that would have been a sure triple.

2. Jacoby Ellsbury's steal of home against the Yankees in 2009.

3. David Ortiz' walkoff homer on Easter Sunday 2004.

4. Trot Nixon's Game-winning homer off Clemens in his Yankee Stadium duel with Pedro.

5. Nick Green's walkoff windblown homer around the Pesky Pole on Father's Day 2009.

6. Ortiz 3-run walk-off HR with 2 outs and 2 strikes against Texas in 2006 for a 5-4 win.

7. July 4, 1973 Double Header sweep of the Yankees at the original Yankee Stadium-- 2-1 and 1-0. In game 1, Ray Culp earned the final win of his career.

8. Daniel Nava's Grand Slam HR against the Phillies in 2010 on the first pitch he saw in the majors.

Besides championships in 2004 and 2007 :D

I understand winning the world series was yours and everyone's favorite moment. The purpose of this thread is to explore elsewhere in Red Sox history. Some people seem to have reading comprehension problems.

I was at this game. :D No one knew if it was fair or foul except the people by the pole, they started going crazy then everyone else did.

No one expected a hit even... 2 outs everyone had chalked up the game as going to extra innings.

This is true. Being misinterpreted leads the wrong way. Don't get me wrong I'm guilty too I'm just saying.

However, 2004 and 2007 are just to good to pass up. Especially 04. I think you should have just made it everything from the decade.

Buchholz no hitter would be on mine too but I actually missed that game :(

I had tickets to this game. It was my fiances first sox game ever. She even asked "are all redsox games this exciting?". I laughed, she had no idea.

One of my favorite Redsox memories would be Bill Buckner coming back to Fenway and throwing the first pitch. Really classy sentimental moment. You could see how much it meant to him.

2004 is #1 no question there.

I remember watching Jon Lester's no-hitter with my dad, and we actually changed the channel to something else, because it was turning into a blow-out, and then we flipped back and Remy hinted at the box score so we had to watch it. He's been my favorite Red Sox player ever since (nope, its not Dice-k or Lowrie afterall :D )

Favorite game live? I saw Ortiz's first home run of 2009 when he finally broke out of that nasty slump. Yeah, I'm a good luck charm!

These are my moments I have seen live

1. Watching Pedro go 8 strong

2. Watching Papi run out a Triple off the center field wall in Boston

3. Seeing Pap strike out the side.

The Top moments of games that I attended:

1. Carl Yastrzemski Day- 1983- Not many people know it, but Yaz spontaneously decided to take a lap around Fenway shaking hands with fans. Until then, players routinely took their laps in automobiles or golf carts. It was totally out of character for Yaz who was a very private, shy man that never sought attention or showed emotion.

8. Ortiz 3-run walk-off HR with 2 outs and 2 strikes against Texas in 2006 for a 5-4 win.

9. 2009 - Papelbon striking out Carlos Pena, B.J. Upton and Carl Crawford in a row with the tying run on 3rd base and the go ahead run on 2nd. My recollection is that all the strikes were swinging strikes and there was only one foul ball.

10. Daniel Nava's Grand Slam HR against the Phillies in 2010 on the first pitch he saw in the majors.

Edit: Added the games in bold. I must be brain dead. I forgot my one number 1.

Another game I was at. Did you see the guys in the wifebeaters? I remember everyone just expected Ortiz to hit a homerun there. That was right during the middle of a stretch where Ortiz was absolutely Godlike in any clutch situation.

I'll add one I think no one has mentioned yet

Mother's Day Miracle 2007. Down 5-0 going into bottom of the ninth against those pesky Os... the rest is history.
