My GF and her parent's are going to Chicago then. Her father had said if I wanted to go with them he would have picked up the tab. I don't feel like goin' now if I can't see the Sox at Wrigley.

For you. I can sit and watch a whole game of baseball. Live or on tv it doesn't matter to me. Some games are boring but every sport has boring games. I could watch the Guardians beat the crap out of the Yankees in Yankee Stadium. Buchholz second start being a no hitter plus Pedey's awesome play. 2004 ALCS. The list goes on. Some games will be exciting others will be s***. That's how it is.

Basketball has become almost unwatchable. The star power is ridiculous and it has shown that there is truly no room in the pros for guys with underwhelming physical tools but ridiculous fundamentals. There is no everyman quality to the game anymore. Seeing a guy like David Wells take the hill was always comforting that an overweight drunk could actually be a student of the game enough to be great in the pros. In basketball, that just isnt the case. If you are under 6'6" and don't have elite quickness, you're nothing. Otherwise, you need to be over 6'6" and be able to jump over a small car to be able to play.

I almost ended up going to Miami for some beach, a heat game, and a drive to see some spring training, but that money ended up going to a Celtics/Lakers game, a few expensive dinners, and likely some concert tickets. But damn, I wish I was down there. Atleast I've got Sox tickets in early April still.

I think your money went towards the right things.

I'm pretty thrilled about that Celtics game, but it was a gamble-- I had no idea if Ray was going to break the record or not. And I had no idea the weather would have improved this much, I'm pretty thrilled about that too.

Nice what game(s) are you going to

I think its the second game against the Rays. I wanted tickets to the opening series, but opening the season against the Yankees probably would cost me just as much as a playoff game, and since I've been to a regular season Yankee game, and sat on the monster, I decided to go with quantity.

Wait' date=' NESN usually covers most ST games, right?[/quote']

Yeah but I live in Nashville, and I can't get NESN so I have to deal with MLB.TV, MLB Network, Fox, and ESPN. Hopefully most of the games are covered by mlb.tv during Spring Training. Can't beat flipping back and forth between work and a spring training game in March.

On my birthday' date=' the Sox play the Royals.[/quote']

I get Baltimore on my birthday, the very last game of the season, and I get to see a starting line up of Navarro - Nava - Anderson - Kalish - Reddick - Lavarnway - Tejada - Exposito - Luna.
