There isnt plenty of time. This team hasnt been hitting. We tied the game up. Hughes gave up a 2 run double, it happens. But bringing in our worst reliever right now was not the answer. I expect an elimination game to be played with more urgency.

It's just banter. I'm not a poor sport, I know we were packing our bags last month, but I just like to give some s***. It's not final yet.

Worst reliever right now? What? He's been the fireman all year, and outside of a game where he gave up a few ground ball hits, he has been good this postseason. I don't think Girardi's a good manager, but today's game isn't on him (unless you want to count the fact that it should be Pettitte starting the game).

close what out ? you never had the lead

I would have used Moseley. He's not awesome, but he at least locates. Robertson and Hughes all of a sudden developed cockshotophilia. They love throwing down the f***ing middle. Girardi just boggles my mind. How in the hell do you manager an elimination game with NO f***ING SENSE OF URGENCY!!

Moseley? Based on what, two innings he pitched last week? Stop, Robertson is the right move. You would have killed Joe if he went to Moseley and he got beat.

3IP 6ER 9 baserunners thus far in the playoffs prior to that inning

Should I remind you of where you said the Yankees had this one in the bag? LOL

They did, untll the Yanks manager went about making piss poor choices again. Oh well, I'd rather have them loose this game then give us all false hope only to have our hearts crushed by the invincible Cliff Lee.

Jeter showing his utter ability to lead by swinging at a first pitch out of the zone. Jesus Christ, lets actually get a team out there who can f***ing play the game. This team has sucked since closing out Minnesota. First thing to do this offseason is get a manager who isnt braindead. Second, is to get a second ace so we dont have to worry about whether or not to use Hughes in game 2. Third, is to bring up Montero to add some life to this dead offense.

Oh man that's a doozy. Where do you come up with this? The Rangers have dominated the Yankees in every game except for the last one. Ron Washington gave away a free game much like Girardi is giving away this one right now.

Joe Girardi is one of the worst decision-makers in baseball. He challenges Gardy and Manuel. Man, if he didn't have such an overpowering club, you could just sit and let him outcoach himself, like you could with Gardenhire.

Was that a 1-2-3 inning? Wow, forgot what those looked like. If he is willing to bring in Wood to start the 6th, why isnt he willing to bring him in to diffuse a rough situation in the 5th with 2 outs?

I think the Phillies will take it to a game 7.I wanted to see Lee vs Halladay.I would have loved to see Lee stick it to the phillies.

Gardenhire is a good manager for a full season. His teams arent overloaded with talent, they routinely play over their heads in the regular season, he is just a bad manager in a short series. Girardi has now coached us for 3 seasons. 2008 is a mulligan since we lost our catcher, our LFer and our best pitcher, so be it. In 2009, he sucked but the team got hot and made it easy for him. He made ONE big decision in 2009, and that was the 3 man rotation. That was huge. But in 2010, he managed to play well BELOW what the team was capable of and now he has done everything to blow the playoffs. If we win this game, it has nothing to do with Girardi. Seeing as we are on pace to LOSE this game, this is entirely on him. We should have been in a 3 man, and in retrospect, you go to your 2 best pitchers. I wont kill him for that cause I know why he did it, but down 2-1, you cannot go to AJ. That changed the series. And then not pulling AJ, not going to your best when you need to, it is just a smattering of ******** and awful managing. Just so happened, this team wasnt good enough to overcome his awful decisions this yr. RIP to the 2010 Yankees. And unfortunately, with Joe as our skipper for at least one more yr, we will once again need to overcome his boneheadedness to win a WS next yr.

Gardy is a players manager, but he's a total idiot when it comes to making decisions in big situations. So yeah, exactly what you said. I like Gardy, he's a good manager, but he defeats himself in the playoffs every year.

Man, I really, REALLY want to see Lee vs Halladay. If there's anyone who can beat Lee, who seems pretty much invincible in the playoffs, like Beckett before him, it's Roy Halladay.

FTR, that's 2003 and 2007 Josh Beckett. Not 2008 and 2009 Josh Beckett.. Just thought I'd clear that up.

Bud Selig is faced with the real possibility of the World Series setting new viewership lows with Texas and possibly SF

Is there something he can do about it?
