I picked Stoudemire but I was worried about my salary cap.

Took John Wall which could be a risk considering he's making $5 million and hasn't played a sigle game in the NBA yet but he's considered to be the best PG prospect in the last decade and I think he has incredible potential.

He was in another league where his only concern was salary, it resulted in him making some bad moves and ending up with a cheap...yet terrible team

 

Honestly, I don't worry about salary for the first couple of picks unless I pick 3 guys making 20+ mil, it is easy to get good values late in the draft

In Chandler I get not only my defensive big, but a guy who can play in a fast paced running offense, but also play extremely well in play sets in the half court. Like I said in the other thread, he's not the sexy pick, but I feel he fits my team perfectly. Definitely some bigger names available, but I fwel like between this pick and my next, the bigs will be falling off the board. Adds a vet to play with two younger guys.

I love the pick tbh. I was going to draft Dirk instead of Josh Smith but I value Smith's defense more than Dirk's offense for my team, only because LeBron is obviously my number one option on offense.

 

Really surprised at the Chandler pick.

I figured that people weren't picking him for a reason. Dirk was projected to be the 4th best fantasy player (granted, it doesn't factor in money and it's this year, not in 3 years), but I figured that age and salary would be impediments, in addition to the fact that I really want another guy that I hope makes it back to me.

 

Not to mention the fact that Dirk is one of the players in the NBA that I hate the most (being a Spurs fan)

Ah, I see. I wouldn't be concerned with Dirk's age. He's showing no signs of slowing down and he's always been extremely durable.
