I think that they can too. It might effect how good they are with the added risk of injury' date=' but I'd imagine that they can be used within the realm of the offenses as well.[/quote']

OK good stuff. Thanks.

So after this round concludes, we'll have six rounds remaining (including the selection of a coach). I'm impressed that it looks like we're going to get this thing finished, with all but one of the original participants sticking with it. Kudos to the people who have helped organize it. It has been a fun exercise.

It's about to get nasty once the voting starts.

On another note, to reflect on Y228's comments, it has been surprising that we've made it this far. I wasn't in the other football draft a while ago, but I heard that it was never completed. In the baseball draft, of the 10 teams that started the draft, 1 team left early and 2 teams disappeared (and both came back to f*** me in the voting)

In this case, other than MSU and maybe Youker (who was one of the previous two teams to disappear around the end), it looks like we are all going to finish.

How will the voting process work?

That still hasn't been decided. I asked the question on the first page of the thread, but we figured it would be best to figure that out closer to the end of the draft. I liked what we did in the MLB draft, but it needs to be tweaked a bit. We basically ranked each team (sent via PM) to establish the power rankings, and then did a tournament from there. Each round would end when a team reached a certain amount of votes.

Right, I like the tournament idea better than just voting on the best team. But wouldn't the power rankings essentially decide who is going to win?

You'd think' date=' but I was power ranked #1 and it didn't work out that way in the end.[/quote']

Haha, fair enough. So before the voting starts, I'm guessing everybody makes a case for their team. That would seem to be important, particularly in football, to explain your schemes and how you would utilize your personnel.

w/r/t the KR/PR question, think of it like it is in the NFL anyway... No one has their designated position as a KR or a PR, they're usually down the depth chart at RB/WR/DB anyway. I listed McCluster there because it's where he'll primarily see the field but I would have set plays run for the guy in my normal offense, much like SD does with Sproles.

OK cool, thanks TK. With the draft winding down I just wanted to make sure I knew what was going on.

Good pick' date=' I was debating between him and Walter, but went with the more established guy.[/quote']

Thanks, I would have, too and I fully admit there is a fanboy-ish element to the pick, but I really like the guy. I wish he'd get more looks. I really think the Packers think he's the heir apparent to Driver.
