I have a nasty feeling that Divinity is going to pick the person/people that I was thinking of for my next picks like he usually tends to do. (See Lance Briggs, MJDizzle, Reggie Wayne, and Ndumakung Suh)

The draft is really getting tough now, there's so many different ways to go and each ways there is consequences of possibly getting screwed at a position

Agreed, it's about predicting who others will pick and who you can get away with skipping for later rounds. It's also about being confident in your digging skills.

Exactly, the worst part is when there is someone you really want at 3 positions who you don't think is going to make it one more round

 

When that happens the going gets tough

The table is, but Flynnatic keeps complaining that the first post isn't. Which he's right, but I don't think it matters since we're already 9 rounds in, and we should have the order memorised by this point. I just figured that it took 2 seconds for someone (you, Kilo, or CD) to add Suns, Ytrb, and Divinity to the draft order in the first post.

In other news, Flynnatic has until 6:43pm to make his pick, or he'd be skipped for the 3rd time.

Would be nice if we could go down to a 8 hour window to speed things up, the extra 2 hours doesn't seem to make a difference for the people who keep getting skipped, however if he was skipped 2 hours earlier for example, suns was still on and could've made his pick.

I don't see the big deal, but those who are in favor of shortening the window just post that you are

I think that 8 hours should be the final window shortening. Despite this feeling like an eternity, we've only had to skip 6 times, by 3 people. Granted, Suns technically put my pick in a little to early to skip Kilo, but for every time that's happened, there's been a time when someone has posted within a few minutes of being skipped themselves.

 

My point is, while I think that being skipped is inexcusable, it's only happened a few times, and due to work schedules and college partying (if that's what MSU is really doing ) that anything shorter than 8 hours isn't fair to people who have lives and have made more of themselves than I have.

 

In any case, what makes this more frustrating is that in addition to the 10 hour window, there's an 8 hour immunity from 12-8 everyday, meaning that many of the skips have resulted in over 18 hours between picks, rather than just the 10 hours. What's even more frustrating than that is that people should know where they are in order and should have sent their picks to other people just in case they aren't online when it's their turn.

 

I have throughout the course of this thing received picks from Youker, RSFFL, WhiskeyBreath, Ytrb, Suns, and MSU (and others if you count the mlb draft). So that's compounding the issue and making it worse.
