The trouble is that many of the Sox fans here live outside New England and follow other NFL teams. Thankfully, several people have signed-up even though they follow their teams.

 

We need to get traffic up. Way up. That way we can attract some Pats fans.

 

I have ideas. But it does not seem that growth of Talkpats is a priority.

 

For instance, the link to Talksox on the Talkpats header has been removed. Why?

 

And why not have the Talkpats link on the Talksox header? It's been suggested (by me).

 

And here's a novel concept. How about a Talkpats forum/sub-forum for College Football. It sure seems that we have plenty of college fans on Talksox! We sure could use Josh on Talkpats. And others.

I'm not a Patriots fan. And I don't think that anyone other than Red Sox fans should be here, and I think I'm being hypocritical by joining a Patriots fan board as a Jaguars fan.

You follow football (American) and you are knowledgeable. Your contributions will be really helpful. As more people join, we can expand the topics discussed and develop a community.

All the while we can continue to contribute to Talksox.

I don't know enough about "re-links" but I like the idea of integrating both sites as best as possible.

This sounds like a stupid idea and quote me if I'm wrong but why not advertise talkpats on facebook or something? Like go to the patriots fan page on facebook and post a link to talkpats for everyone to see. Not spam of course but you know it would catch a few peoples attention.

I think as the weeks advance we can get more people from this site over there.

It's not only about getting Talksox members, it's about getting Football fans. The goal isn't to migrate everyone from here to Talkpats in the offseason, it's to attract new members.

A good thing is that when you google "patriots forum" we show up on page 2 of the results. Its not like its an obscure site in the world wide web.

Showing at #3 for me. Page 2 is actually terrible and really leads to no clicks, especially for relatively uncommon terms like "patriots forum". The rank will improve as the season progresses.

 

If you post somewhere else, the best thing you can do is to include a link in your signature.

I told my friend to join but he told me it wouldn't let him register. So I'm guessing there is a problem with that. I told yeszir about this on talkpats. Hopefully he fixes it soon.
