What's not to like about QS?

 

Well, the problem is that the average ERA is about 4.5, which is what you get if you pitch 6 innings and give up 3 runs.

Nothing really. Except that it sets the bar a little too low.

I really miss the days when a SP would throw 130 and get a complete game.

John Lackey-- 15 QS

 

He's hasn't been great, but he keeps them in the game, which is more than enough for a top offense.

 

such a missleading stat , a pitcher can pitch 6IP every night with 12H and 6BB and they call it a QS . that dosent mean the pitcher is good . mean he's lucky

 

If Lackey puts up the same crap next year he wont be lucky as he's been this year around

and his ERA will be mid 5

Lackey has been up and down, not what you paid nearly $20 million to do.

 

His WHIP is around 1.50, too many base runners.

Not very good calls against Kalish. Those pitches were definitely off the plate.
