Even with this lineup we should pound Kazmir, he has been terrible this season, but knowing this team Kazmir probably pitches 7 innings allowing 1 run and gets the win. It seems like we hit good pitchers well for some reason and then allow s***** pitchers to dominate us.

does anyone think our lineup is better with scutaro (.268/.329/.370) batting leadoff instead of lowrie (.308/.429/.538)?

I'm conflicted.

On one hand, I'm a Lowrie fan.

On the other hand, I'm a "dance with the one you came with" guy.

Scutaro is hurting. But he's been pretty productive up until recently. And Lowrie probably is not all that healthy.

I just tuned in. Did I miss anything besides that home run by Napoli?

I wish I could enlighten you. But i just tuned in too.

that's pretty much it. they made kazmir work in the first, throwing over 30 pitches but then lowell lined out right at the shortstop with the bases loaded. then they loaded the bases again in the second and victor martinez struck out

WTF has happened to him?

He was once one of the best young lefties in the game.

he was always pretty injury prone and he gives up a lot of runs in bunches. he gave up 20+ earned runs in may and july but he had been pitching well lately

He had elbow surgery prior to 2009 and has been lost ever since.

Lost velocity from injuries. I think he's had more problems than just velocity' date=' but I'm not sure.[/quote']

Oh.

Too bad. He had so much ability and promise.
