Hall hits the ball harder tan anyone on the team, except maybe for Ortiz. He just crushes the ball. 2-2. This is a must game to stay pace with the Skanks who are winning 6-2 and the Rays who have already won.

Yeah, I don't think the Yankees are going to blow this game so we need to win.

Jesus.

Hall has been more than just a pleasant surprise.

Too bad he won't be back.

The sox got incredibly lucky on their short term pickups this offseason. Hall, McDonald and Beltre are all heading out of the Beanpot for starting gigs next yr, IMO. McDonald hits enough to start in CF for a team and Hall is hitting like he's back in Milwaukee

Cliff Lee-- 15 QS

John Lackey-- 15 QS

He's hasn't been great, but he keeps them in the game, which is more than enough for a top offense.

I don't think teams have forgotten how Hall hit after that season. And I don't know whether teams are willing to give McDonald an extended look, although he has performed great.

Agreed. I'm extremely happy with how all three of those deals turned out-- at the begining of the year, I had serious doubts, but they've completely surpassed all of my expectations.

Quality starts is such a stupid statistic.

Love Beltre's defense.

The point is that he's given his team just as many chances to win as perhaps the best pitcher in the league.

That's stretching it a bit, since Lee missed a month and goes longer into games and allows fewer runs than Lackey

Same here.

Although, I'll admit that I don't recall the Sox signing McDonald.
