This game is just like the one where Beckett pitched against the Yankees before his trip to the DL. He just kept getting lit up and lit up, and Francona just sat there chewing his gum, pretending like nothing was happening.

 

It also gives me the feeling that Beckett is going to have a mystery injury, and will be replaced by Doubront in the rotation.

Anyone in their right mind would take Lee over Beckett. But at the time, the Beckett deal seemed like a good one at the time-- a 4 year deal on a pitcher who had such a great 2009?
