Lackey is one of the biggest competitors in the game. I loved him in Anaheim because he always wanted the ball in big situations. You have to love that from a guy. It seems like since his wife was diagnosed with cancer he hasn't been the same. I read an article saying that he spent most of his off season time with his wife helping her get treated. That could have a lot to do with his poor performances. For some reason I still have a little faith that Lackey can turn it around...(don't crucify me :) )

I like John Lackey too, but he's being paid too much for me to not at least be dissatisfied with how he's played with the Red Sox. He needs to do more than just keep us in games, because that's not what pitchers making that kind of money do, they hold the opponent to a low amount of runs, and they pitch a lot of innings. At least that's what they should be doing.

I hope he turns it around, but he's definitely been a bust so far.

Theo doesn't get enough credit in the media for all those bad decisions. It isn't all Tito--by a longshot.

By signing John Lackey? Who is a horse that eats innings and has been one of the most consistent pitchers in the league? Signing Jenks, who has been a full time closer for a championship team, to pitch in the 7th inning? Signing Wheeler who absolutely owned us last year? By signing Carl Crawford, one of the elite players in the game? And bringing in Adrian Gonzalez? The fact that players are under performing early in the season is the players and coaches fault. Theo is the last of our worries.
