Even with a banged up lineup, we should hammer this scrub, just win.

I'm not too sure about Wakefield but again were playing the Orioles so who knows. Also i'm not feeling this Kevin Cash guy at all. Coming from the Houston Astros and his stats aren't all that. We'll see what this guy has tonight.

We had him not too long ago...

Why is Patterson starting in left? Is Nava hurt too?

I mean, if you have have to use a AAA guy, use the switch-hitting spraying-doubles-in-the-gap AAA guy, no?

EDIT: I mean Eric Patterson for us, not Corey Patterson for them. What are the odds of having both starting LFs in game named Patterson?

EDIT, PART DEUX: Really, though, if you slide Nava in there instead of Patterson, that's not an awful lineup. Amazing that we can still field a sort-of pretty good team considering that we have the equivalent of a very good team on the DL right now.

Cameron was scratched tonight. Is it really too much to ask to have just 2 of our 3 starting OF play in the same game?

On another note, I just brewed my first pot of coffee with my Chemex. I brewed a Konga Co-op coffee from Yirgacheffe Ethiopia, roasted yesterday by Terroir coffee. It's a great company (Terroir) owned by George Howell, a coffee connoisseur who used to own a chain of gourmet coffee shops in the Boston area called 'The Coffee Connection' (He got bought out by Starbucks in '96, *******s!). It's a really great coffee and the Chemex really does brew a perfect cup without ANY bitterness at all.

Apparently so.

I'm sure this has been done already, but I find this amazing:

CF Ellsbury

2B Pedroia

1B Martinez

3B Lowell

C Varitek

LF Hermida

SS Lowrie

RF ???

DH ???

SP Beckett

RP Delcarmen

RP Tazawa

Just throw in a couple of AAA scrubs at RF and DH, and you have an above-average MLB team. Sheesh.

EDIT: No jokes about our current RF being halfway to the DL under the best of circumstances.

Wake is being very efficient. Maybe he's happy to be reunited with Cash.

I saw Cash catch Wakefield in Detroit a couple of years back. Wake went 8IP 0R. Anecdotal evidence and all, but I think it proves scientifically that Wakefield will be awesome tonight.

Bergerson sucks

even with our s*** lineup they should still score 5+ runs off him

Oh, but we're in full make-the-opposing-scrub-pitcher-look-like-the-reincarnation-of-Cy-Young mode now, baby. It's a Red Sox specialty.
