No contest. I've never played a game of ball in my life. But at least I don't go blowing smoke about demanding that someone "man up" to perform at a level I can't touch with a painful injury.

Since you don't know about playing MLB ball, it's irrelevant.

Listen, Mr. Doji, it is not Mr. Ellsbury that bothers me so much. He is just emblematic of today's pussified players. As a whole they are sickening prima donas. I realize that more than half the guys from our roster would be doing the same thing as Ellsbury.

So you were just saying something to have said something, have I got that about right?

Take two players with a .800 OPS. Do you take the .400/.400 guy or the .300/.500 guy. I go with the first' date=' because a .400 OBP is excellent on a scale of 1.000, and .300 is pretty bad. The difference between .400 and .500 on the SLG scale is not monumental.[/quote']

That's kinda what i thought, thanks.

Any batter Wakefield faces after Hafner is a batter he should not have faced.

EDIT: Looks like Tito's figuring the same. Great game Wakes.

Calm down please. Focus your energy on the suckage that is Cleveland.
You mean the sucky team that we are leading by 1 run tonight, with a runner on 2nd and no one out. I don't know about you, but I am a little nervous about this game right now.

ORS: So the point is that you need a lower OBP to be "good" relative to SLG?

No, the point is that the normal OBP range is usually lower than the SLG range, therefore, when scaling, every point of OBP is worth a bit more than every point of SLG if i understand correctly.

The reasons present themselves. No need to look for them. To tell you the truth. On the way home in the car I heard about the error' date=' and I figured that I'd use it to get a rise out of you. As it stands, I got a rise out of you and ORS as a bonus. Much more effective than your trolling thread about CC, wouldn't you say?;)[/quote']

What rise? I said you bitch too much. You are reaching to pat yourself on the back again, but that's customary.

OK, I think I got that...I do it that way in a sort of "pinch of this, dash of that" way in my own head. 2006 Youks is better than 2006 Wily Mo, and that's fairly intuitive.

Did they make you play ball at the MLB level?

Oh wait, you can't play ball at the MLB level even when fully healthy so you have NO idea what it takes and so you have NO idea what you're talking about.

Classic combination of Internet Tough Guy and Sports Bar Tough Guy. What a foul smelling mixture.

And you are just pure fat smelly couch potato... right?

At least I don't pretend to be anything else.

You should troll Yankee fans instead of Red Sox fans.

Besides, it's easy to "get a rise" out of you by mentioning the numbers of "THE SLUGAAHHH!!" Bay when compared to Beltre, as evidenced by the immediate backpedal in the post before this one.

Oh for...

WHY is Oki in there with the tying run at second and less than 2 out? I know our options are limited with Paps out but I'm pretty sure we can do better.

Van Every isn't here anymore.

Bay's in the NL. I wouldn't care if he went flying with a NY Yankee.

Just trying to show you how to troll. I was disappointed in your CC thread.

You don't know thing one about trolling.

Fun stuff ... right? I think you know pain' date=' even though you are not a major leaguer.[/quote']

Oh ya, good times. Trying to find a "good" position to fall asleep the first few weeks was real fun.

I will admit to still missing Manny, but not Bay. Bay was here for 1 1/2 years. He played hard while he was here, but i'd much rather have signed Holliday.
