Just got in. it looks like Beltre is still piling up errors. Flashy plays are great, but great fielders also make the routine plays routinely.

WTF is with the delicate princess, Ellsbury? He's going to see a doctor on the west coast to put his mind at ease? How f***ing stupid is not to realize that there are no moving parts in the chest, so he can't do any permanent damage by playing with pain or discomfort. Cracked ribs hurt a lot for a long time until the are has healed. Thes modern day prima donas make me sick

Dude, they are winning. Try to enjoy it.

Really? It's kinda understandable to not be playing with a cracked rib. Just f***ing breathing with a bruised rib sucks. I couldn't imagine swinging' date=' jumping around and slidding around the infield/outfield with it.[/quote']Right. It does hurt, but what does he think a doctor is going to tell him at this point. He has to wait until it heals for the pain to go away. The Sox are saying that he is going to see a doctor to put his mind at ease. What a retard.

Are you seriously bitching because Jacoby is receiving medical attention for a known injury.

And keeps bitching about Beltre on a daily basis. Half of those errors are balls Lowell doesn't even get a glove on.

A doctor once told Yaz that he had a cracked rib, and he beat his brains in with his bat while smoking a pack of unfiltered Pall Malls. Then he forged the doctor's handwriting to change the diagnosis, ripped a loud fart, stuffed Nomar in his locker, and scarfed down the rest of his chicken parm.

Oh, wait, I think I've got mixed metaphors here.

Yes, I am. Cameron is playing with his guts ready to spill out. Jacoby had the reputation as a pansy princess in the minors. This is nothing new.

Dude's got a lot of errors. You told me he had just had an early season fielding slump. I guess it hasn't ended.

And keeps bitching......

This is more correct. What follows the start of the sentence changes, but those three words never do.

Real easy to call ballplayers pansies when you're sitting on a computer. Go get kicked in the chest and see how it feels to swing a bat, slide to beat a tag, dive to catch a falling liner, etc.

He smoked camels, and when he cracked his ribs Nomar was in diapers.

He has three errors after the first flurry.

Oh, and for edification purposes:

Beltre:

330 /.362/ .509 .871 OPS

Bay:

.292/ .380 / .439 .818 OPS

Just a reminder.

I have a question for you:

You said some time ago that when factoring the scaling issue, OBP weighs more than SLG in OPS, how come?

Bay's really coming on lately then. He was stinking it up earlier.

A .439 SLG and 3 Homers for a corner OF who's supposed to be a slugger is putrid.

Try the pain of having your humerus bone snapped in half.

Sure, but at least it's somewhere in the same universe as competency. Before he was just doing nothing at all at the plate.

Did they make you play ball at the MLB level?

Oh wait, you can't play ball at the MLB level even when fully healthy so you have NO idea what it takes and so you have NO idea what you're talking about.

Classic combination of Internet Tough Guy and Sports Bar Tough Guy. What a foul smelling mixture.

Have I said anything about his hitting in more than a month?

So you admit to looking for reasons to bitch about the guy?

'm 51, and I'll bet I still play better than you.

...and pain is pain. You said that I don't know about pain, but I do.

No contest. I've never played a game of ball in my life. But at least I don't go blowing smoke about demanding that someone "man up" to perform at a level I can't touch with a painful injury.

...and pain is pain. You said that I don't know about pain, but I do.

Since you don't know about playing MLB ball, it's irrelevant.

The reasons present themselves. No need to look for them. To tell you the truth. On the way home in the car I heard about the error, and I figured that I'd use it to get a rise out of you. As it stands, I got a rise out of you and ORS as a bonus. Much more effective than your trolling thread about CC, wouldn't you say?;)

Take two players with a .800 OPS. Do you take the .400/.400 guy or the .300/.500 guy. I go with the first, because a .400 OBP is excellent on a scale of 1.000, and .300 is pretty bad. The difference between .400 and .500 on the SLG scale is not monumental.
