I agree with the TV announcers. Lester ran out of gas after the first batter in the 7th. He had trouble repeating his delivery. His shoulder was flying open. His legs were probably gone.

Finally a little breathing room. Would like to have a few more insurance runs
Two runs is good. Bard will shut them down in the 8th and Papelbon will make sure that we are on the edge of our seats before he locks it down.

Hey ORS, honest question:

At the time of the Scutaro, Beltre and Cameron signings, even with the loss of Bay, did you think the Sox were still a potential top-five offense?

Absolutely. I thought they lost something with Bay, but gained something by eliminating the holes in the lineup.

That was my fear. 2 runs makes Paps a little goofy. Probably give up a run and then have a runner on 1st and 2nd with one out and have the infield turn two for the save

Were you as annoyed as i was with the constant whining, and bitching and moaning during the early parts of the season? Because now everyone's content with the team to a certain extent, even the peopel who think they can do Theo Epstein's job better than Theo Epstein.

Beltre's making the FO look pretty good by the way.

Until you had pointed out that the guys we signed were very good road hitters, I was very skeptical of the moves. I thought then and I still think that those moves coupled with losing Bay made Ortiz" role crucial. Let's hope the big guy continues to bang for the rest of the season.

Not too annoyed, but I'll never understand the constant bellyaching. I don't get the ceaseless worry. The moves they make have some sense to them. They obviously don't all work out, but you can see good reasons for why they were made when they were made. And, the team continues to find success. I guess that isn't enough, for some.

Bard is the shiz.

The Scutaro signing i didn't buy at first, but he's played around average D, has gotten on base, and given quality AB's most of the time. Just what he was signed for.

Fair enough. To keep diversity, you need all types of people on the forum, but seriously....

We may have to start calling Drew, "Everyday JD". My fingers were crossed as I typed that so as not to hex him. Maybe he did have the addadicktome procedure.

Getting anything for Kotchman while making the other team pay for Kotchman and what you're getting back was genius.

Fixed.

Need one more run to tie the Yankees for most runs in MLB (albeit in one more game). Not bad for a s***** offensive team.

2nd in HR, 2nd in XBH, 2nd in OBP, probably will take the lead in OPS after tonight.

Yup, 800 runs is impossible for this team after they lost Jason "The Animal" Bay and all that.

You already have the Theo Bobblehead, don't you?
